Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) invites application from Indian citizens to apply for the post of Scientific Asst, Asst Professor, Archaeologist

Post :
1. Lecturer in Paediatrics
2. Lecturer in Orthodontics and Dento facial Orthopaedics
3. Scientific Assistant in Forensic Science Laboratory
4. Assistant Professors
5. Assistant Superintending Archaeologist

 

Educational Qualification  : –
1. Lecturer in Paediatrics : (i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post Graduate degree qualification in the speciality concerned or equivalent. (iii) At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as Senior Resident/Registrar/ Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.

2. Lecturer in Orthodontics and Dento facial Orthopaedics :
(i) A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned speciality/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent. (iii) Should be registered with Dental Council. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) One year teaching experience after post graduation in a recognized Institute. (ii) Three years experience as Registrar/Tutor/Senior Resident/Demonstrator in the concerned speciality of Dentistry in a recognized Dental College/Medical College with Dental Wing/Dental Institution. (iii) Knowledge of Marathi.

3. Scientific Assistant in Forensic Science Laboratory:
Essential: (1)(i) Master’s Degree in Science with at least second class from a recognized University for posts at Sr. Nos. 1 to 4 in column (a) of the Table below, with specialization in the relevant discipline as specified in the corresponding entry in column (b) of the said Table;
(ii) Master’s Degree in Science / Master’s Degree in Computer Applications, with at least second class from a recognized University for post at Sr. No. 5 in column (a) of the Table below, with specialization in the discipline as specified in the corresponding entry in column (b) of the said Table; and
(iii) Master’s Degree in Science / Master’s Degree in Arts, with at least second class from a recognized University for post at Sr. No. 6 in column (a) of the Table below, with specialization in the discipline as specified in the corresponding entry in column (b) of the said Table; and and (2) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) Should be Computer literate. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

4. Assistant Professors :
Essential: (i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. (ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Colleges”. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) Ph.D. or M.Phil in the relevant subject. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

5. Assistant Superintending Archaeologist :
Essential: (i) At least Second Class Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in Indian History or Archaeology, with an Indian Classical language as a subject at degree level. OR At least Second Class Master’s degree of a recognized University or equivalent in an Indian Classical language with Indian History or Archaeology as a subject at degree level. (ii) 3 years practical experience in field Archaeology. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Indian Paleography. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi.

Note: Candidates who have not offered an Indian Classical language or Indian History or Archaeology as the case may be, as a subject at degree level, will also be considered; but if selected, they will be required to pass special Departmental Examination in the relevant subject before confirmation).
Note: Qualifications relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C. in case of candidates otherwise well qualified; in particular the qualifications regarding experience is relaxable in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes for posts reserved for them.
